dpa.control is the sophisticated but easy-to-use software tool for harmonics and flicker measurements and analysis. While most solutions just give pass/fail results dpa.control enables the user to really see and find the reasons for a DUT to fail the measuring criteria which is what makes dpa.control valuable.

Harmonics Analysis - Most Convenient and Reliable
|
dpa.control offers a range of measuring features based on the IEC/EN 61000-3-2 and IEC/EN 61000-3-12 standard requirements as well as for the Japanese JIS C61000-3-2.
The analysis mode (selection of the class) can be selected at any time, before or after the measurement. Analysis is shown in the frequency spectrum as well as in the time domain. Each recorded set of measuring data is accessible for the analysis. Limit values are indicated and harmonics exceeding the specified limit are marked in red colour. Indication of DUT data (Urms, Irms, P, Q, S, power factor, crest factor, THD etc.) is given for each data set. |

Flicker Analysis - dpa.control is the Expert
|
Flicker analysis can't be easier than by using dpa.control software. The flicker analysis is based on a standards library including the basic standards but also, and even more important, product-specific requirements such as hair dryers and vacuum cleaners. Moreover, you can add further user specific standards specifying the related flicker limit values. The actual flicker values are continously displayed. A test can be stopped once a limit is exceeded. This could, in case, safe valuable test time. |

dpa.control shows more - Harmonics of voltage and current
|
dpa.control, unlike many other software tools, measures and shows both, the harmonics of the voltage and of the current simulataneously. This assures that the used AC voltage is analysed and checked to comply with the test requirements.
Indication of the power (P, Q, S) and phase angle is given for each harmonic. By means of a special functions lighting equipment with a power consumption of 25W and less can be analysed. |

Enhanced Analysis Functions to find the Real Cause for Harmonics

Enhanced analysis allows to select each recorded data set of a measurement and hence, to located under which circumstances and conditions the DUT generates harmonics.
Numerous analysis tools are available for individual investigations; the pefect tool for development to focus on the spot where measures have to be taken to reduce harmonics emission. The configuration of the measuring module can easily be changed any time (without rebooting the system) to meet the current IEC/EN 61000-4-7(2002) with 200ms time window and grouping function for interharmonics. |

Complete Reporting - More than just PASS or FAIL

dpa.control hides nothing. A versatile reporting tool gives access to the various test data formats.
Test data is directly converted into Rich-Text-Format and can be post-processed by any software recognising rtf-format (e.g Microsoft Word). This reporting tool satisfies all you needs; easy and fast reporting of standard tests for the QA and more sophisticated facilities to evaluate every detail. |
