Harmonics and Flicker Calibration Using Fluke 6100A
EM TEST is pleased to announce that the Fluke 6100A Electrical Power Standard represents the first commercially available tool providing full assistance for the calibration of harmonics & flicker analysers. Apart from its versatile power verification functions, the instrument fulfils all standards requirements comprehensively, accurately and reliably. This is unique to the Fluke 6100A Electrical Power Standard. Hence measurements are performed correctly and are repeatable.
For fully compliant harmonics & flicker validation the following functions are mandatory:
- Accuracy and linearity of voltage and current measurement procedures.
- Steady state harmonic measurement procedure.
- Fluctuating harmonics measurement procedure.
- Verification of the smoothing function (digital first order low pass filter).
- Inter-harmonic measurement procedure.
- Accuracy of power measurement and the related harmonics limit calculation for class D equipment.
- Flicker measurements at 230V/50Hz and 120V/60Hz.
- Increasing & decreasing of flicker values Pst as a function of dU/U variation at constant repetition rate
(at 230V/50Hz & 120V/60Hz).
EM TEST has done a comprehensive investigation of functionality and accuracy of the new Fluke 6100A Electrical Power Standard. This tool renders National Metrology Institutes the opportunity to issue official laboratory accreditation for comprehensive flicker parameter calibration. NPL, being recognised as the reference and most sophisticated competent body for harmonic & flicker analyser calibration, has not yet achieved this complete level of verification capability offered by the Fluke 6100A Electrical Power Standard.
In conclusion of the above is obvious that EM TEST fully support this new calibrator and does highly recommend it to all interested calibration laboratories or similar competent bodies for verification purpose.
